I am here and will continue to consult through the available technologies.

As life as we know it alters so dramatically, so fast and all around us, our capacity to process what is going on is greatly affected.

So much of our acupuncture sessions focus on life happenings & the integration and process there of. The SKYPE Session books ‘you' a time for ‘you’ to integrate through consultation, meridian therapy, a guided self acupressure treatment (1 hour session) .

March 19

*NEW CLIENTS PLEASE CALL THE CLINIC PRIOR TO OR JUST AFTER BOOKING IN TO ENSURE WE HAVE YOUR NEEDS COVERED AT THIS TIME.

As registered health practitioners we play a vital role in containing the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and as such we're taking  a precautionary approach to managing our clients health.

Based on the general recommendations from Western medical doctors as well as the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, the clinic will cease the practice of Shiatsu (due to the close proximity of the client and practitioner for an extended period of time) for an estimated  2 weeks from Thursday 19 March to Friday 1st April inclusive. I will continue to evaluate the situation and communicate with my clients.

Acupuncture sessions will continue with an increase in protective measures, such as the use of disposable gloves and use of a face mask when undertaking needling.

I love my work. I love this work. I feel assured by the recent research and news from China, and the Chinese government's claims that “herbal remedies were crucial in constricting the spread of COVID-19”1. According to China's Ministry for Science and Technology, by late February more than 85 per cent of coronavirus patients in China had received herbal remedies alongside mainstream anti-viral drugs, with successful results. Chinese hospitals have been using what they believe are tried-and-tested herbal medicines to improve immune systems and strengthen patients' physical resolve against the virus.

I trust in the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture and herbs) for its ancient intention, its deep life philosophy, its thousands of years of application, its application for general health and as preventative medicine for the community in this current environment.

Therefore, at this time, I will continue to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine  in the most appropriate manner.

I am also offering phone/skype/facetime consultations now, and into the future. This may be your prefered option should you be susceptible and vulnerable, or have chosen to self isolate.

I am offering both 30min and 1 hour phone/skype/facetime consultations for my return clients.  This includes a herbal prescription, dietary advice and, in the 1 hour sessions, a guided self treatment. The consultations are payable by direct deposit or credit card. Both are claimable if you have private health cover.

30 minute sessions are $65 and include:

  • Consultation

  • Herbal prescription

  • Postage of herbs

Herbs incur an additional cost. Black Pearl Pills and Powders are $18 per bottle so cost will vary on your requirements. As a VERY general guide, usually between 2 and 4 bottles are prescribed (this is for around 2-3 weeks of supply). China Med Bottles are $42 and generally last 2 weeks.

1 hour sessions are $80 and include:

  • Consultation

  • Herbal prescription

  • A guided self treatment including acupressure and meridian therapy within the session

  • Postage of herbs

I will continue to assess the best ways to treat during this time under the guidance of the Health Authority and my professional registeration body and will likely extend the online services to include new clients as well as offering affordable solutions in an unpredictable environment ..stay tuned.

With Love
